How to Fix Call of Duty: Vanguard Error Code Duhok-Guernsey – ‘Not signed in to a profile’
Like all connection and server issues with Vanguard, we suggest that you check the status of the server before proceeding with the solutions. You should note though, the servers may not be down when you get the error, so it’s unlikely you will find anything on the official server status websites. The error seems to occur at random and is usually resolves on its own. It’s some kind of a glitch on the server end from what we know so far. Hence, here are the solutions you can try to fix COD Vanguard error code Duhok-Guernsey.
- The age-old reboot should work to resolve the error in most cases. So, go ahead and reboot the console and the router. The same goes for PC.
- If that does not work, power cycle both the console and the router. To power cycle, power down both the devices, remove the power cord, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, reconnect the power cords and start normally. Doing this should flush bad cache that could be interfering with the connection to the server and you should be able to play.
- Change the DNS Servers – You can do this for both console and PC. The best servers for gaming in our experience is Google’s. The servers are primary – 8.8.8.8 and secondary – 8.8.4.4. Here are the steps you can follow.
- For Xbox – press the Guide button > All Settings > Network > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual > Input the Google DNS addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in both the primary and secondary fields and restart the console.
- For PC – Settings > Network & Internet > Change adapter options > select the network > right-click > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Properties > Toggle Use the following DNS server addresses and fill the Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 > Reboot the PC.
- For PS5 – Settings > Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection > Set Up Manually > Wi-Fi or LAN > Under DNS Settings > Enter Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 > Enter Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4
- Change the MTU Settings (PS5) – The MTU settings on both play a crucial role in determining the speed of the internet. It’s possible you do not have the right setting or value that’s causing speed problems with the game and hence, the Vanguard Error Code Hunter-Gruber. We personally tried this trick with Cold War and it worked to resolve issues with connection to the server. Here are the steps you can follow for PC and PS5.
- Change MTU Settings on PS5
- Click on the Gear icon to go to Settings
- Go to Network > Settings (While you are at the Settings, we suggest that you go to Connection Status and perform Test Internet Connection. A simple test often can resolve a bunch of connection issues.)
- Select Set Up Internet Connection
- Click on your registered network and choose Advanced Settings
- Go down to MTU Settings and set it to Manual
- Go to MTU and set the value to 1473
- Try to play the game via a different ISP than the original. If you have a reliable mobile internet with dependable speed, try to play the game via the hotspot.
- Finally, if nothing worked, reinstall the game completely. Remove all the files associated with the game and install a fresh copy.
If none of the above solutions worked, it’s likely the issue is with the game and there is nothing you can do about it. Wait for a few hours and then, reattempt to play the game. If the error still occurs, get in touch with the Activation support.
