Kratos and Atreus are required to enter the Hive and dispose of the Black Breath. Situated in Alfheim, you cannot enter it instantly but would need to complete a puzzle if you want to proceed. Once at the entrance of the Hive, you will notice giant tentacles with glowing webs of flesh attached to them. Your objective is to line up the first set of webs and destroy them. You should only hit the glowing webs that are attached to the main vein with your ax. You should note that you need to destroy the three webs in one single shot, and you will need to do it three times.
For the first line of attack, go straight to the entrance towards the blue light, turn around and look slightly right. You will be able to get three webs in a line right here. For the second time, walk towards the remaining stump that you cut down before, place yourself behind it and look at the two webs here to break it down. Lastly, head behind the web furthest from the entrance, aim, then throw your ax. Once the webs are destroyed, you now have access to the Hive.
Inside the Hive, you can continue your main quest, and this will take you one step closer to completing the storyline of God of War. If you liked this guide you can check out our other guides of God of War.
