Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape is a Battle Royal title that’s caught the attention of the gaming community. Although the game is still far from the full release, select players have taken part in the beta test. If you want to gain access to the game, you simply have to watch Twitch streams. However, early players are reporting a range of bugs in the game from Vulkan-1 .dll error to the more recent black screen in Hyper Scape. It’s expected and is the whole purpose of the beta. You can expect all these errors to be fixed once the game releases. Until then, we have workarounds for all the errors in the various guides we have on the game. For the purpose of the black screen, let’s try some fixes.
Fix 1: Disable Adaptive Sync
If you have an adaptive sync monitor, disable the adaptive sync. It also worth the try to disable V-sync for Nvidia users. To disable the V-sync, go to Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > Select Hyper Scape > under Specify the settings for this program set Vertical sync to Off. Also, turn off V-sync from in-game settings. Once you have done the above steps, try running the game and check if the Hyper scape black screen problem still occurs.
Fix 2: Update the GPU
If the problem persists, perform a clean install of the latest driver. For AMD users, uninstall the current driver, download the latest copy, and install. For Nvidia users, you have an easier option to perform a clean install. Download the latest copy of the driver, start the installation process > choose Custom Install > Clean Install. After the process is complete, restart the system and try playing Hyper Scape, the error must have disappeared.
Fix 3: Change Game Settings
If the problem is still not fixed, you can try and change the monitor settings of the game from the game files. To perform this, go to Documents > MyGames > HyperScape > Gamesettings.config. Under Monitor settings, change the number to a 1. This will change the monitor load and hopefully address your problem of black screen in Hyper Scape.
Fix 4: Repair the Game from Uplay
Uplay has a very useful feature that allows you to verify and repair corrupt game files. To perform the steps open Uplay > click on Games > hover over Hyper Scape (an arrow will appear)> click the arrow to open a drop-down menu > select Verify files.
The above steps should have fixed the black screen problem with Hyper Scape if it didn’t comment below and we will share additional fixes you can try.
it didnt work for me, i did it all right and double checked everything, i really wanted to play this game but i think i wont … 🙁
Don’t worry all these bugs will be fixed once the game releases. Meanwhile, you can raise a ticket with Ubisoft to let them know it’s a serious problem. After all, that’s the purpose of the beta.
