Genshin Impact’s Version 3.0 Trailer dropped a lot of hints about Dendro Archon’s status and how she is treated. Before Sumeru drops on the 24th of August, we thought it would be a good idea to compile all that we know about the current Dendro Archon.
Lesser Lord Kusanali in Genshin Impact
Lesser Lord Kusanali or the little pale girl we’ve been seeing in the trailer Nahida is said to be the current Dendro Archon. People of Sumeru, especially the Akademiya don’t view her as a full-fledged Archon and instead consider her to be a reminder and confirmation of Lord Rukkhadevata’s disappearance after the Khaenriah incident.
She’s 500 years old and is currently the youngest Archon. 500 years is just the beginning of a life period for the Archons so she’s considered a novice. Since she’s a child it’s said she can also dream despite being older than the majority of the people in Sumeru. As we’ve been told, the people of Sumeru cannot dream as it’s considered irrational and whimsical.
Kusanali or Nahida is also rumoured to be a hikkikomori. Hikkikomori in Japanese essentially means a shut-in. Someone who’s detached from society and is meek and shy of personality is called a Hikkikomori. There are also leaks that suggest that she’s under the thumb of the sages of the Sumeru Akademia who consider themselves personal aids to the previous Dendro Archon Rukkhadevata.
Since Kusanali is young, her wisdom and power are said to pale in comparison to Rukkhadevata. We’re still far from learning the personality and mannerisms of Kusanali but from the few scenes we’ve had of her from the Sumeru preview teasers and the promotional Sumeru trailer, we know that the Genshin devs are trying to portray her as a mysterious but key figure in our journey in Sumeru.
