Cult of the Lamb is an incredible game with a simple story but very intriguing. You are a lamb that’s been put to death by folks of the Old Religion. You get a second chance at life after The One Who Waits offers you a deal. You can come to life again but only if you start a cult in the name of The One Who Waits and eventually free him. During your adventures, you will fight all sorts of enemies. In fact, the game is all about fighting and defeating followers of the old faith, which means you will take damage and will need to heal. Knowing how to get more hearts to heal your health is quite important as you progress in the game. Keep reading and we will share all the ways to heal in Cult of the Lamb.
How to Heal in Cult of the Lamb or Restore Hearts
By default, the game will provide you with three hearts that you may be able to increase later in the game. Quite early in the game, you are also given a chance to increase hearts when you pick your first tarot card. Here are all the ways to heal in Cult of the Lamb. Also, the hearts in the game only drops when you are low on it. The drop is more when you are down to a heart or less and almost no drops when you have a full hearts. That’s said, there are other ways to farm hearts and increase the number of hearts in the game.
Pick Tarot Cards that Give Heart
You will meet Clauneck at the start of the game. He is the one who will provide you with all sorts of power. Each time you visit him, you will have an option to choose one of two cards. Each of the cards is important and will help you, but if select The Lovers 1 card you will get an additional heart. This heart is different and appears Green (it’s the Soul heart and it’s stackable from what we have seen). In your adventure, there are various chests that will drop the Green Heart separately. So, choosing the Lover 1 card is the best option if you want to increase your life.
There are other cards as well that can increase your life count such as The Heart 1. It increases the Red Heart by half. You can keep collecting tarot cards that increase the heart/life.
The Diseased Heart is another tarot card that gives you a black heart. Each time you take damage half of the heart will fade and deal damage to the enemies. So, this card does not just extend your life but is also offensive. Check out the other Tarot cards to know more.
Loot Chests
The simplest way to farm hearts and restore health in Cult of the lamb is to keep playing the game and farm the hearts that drop from chests after an arena is cleared. Once you defeat all mobs in the arena, a chest will drop that contains all sorts of items from Fervour, Heart, and other resources. The Heart is not a guaranteed drop but you get at least a heart from every 3 chests (can vary sometimes).
Destroy the Surrounding Objects and Environment
Hearts also drop from destroying the environment in the arena so don’t forget to do that. They sometimes also drop from mobs. When you are in an arena, make sure that everything is destroyed, the game will award you for your efforts. Besides the hearts, you can also farm valuable resources this way.
Open Chests at the Temple near Red Doors
As you pass through various areas you will return to the temple that has the red door. Here you can find chests after you have cleared a few arenas. These chests offer very useful rewards for both your base as well as occasional gears. They usually also drop a heart.
Choose Path with Question Mark or Heart Icon
As you proceed through the game, you will have the option to choose various paths to reach the objective such as a boss. Between the main objectives, there are various areas that provide all kinds of resources indicated by rock icons, vegetables, etc. Choose the option that has the question mark and you may get a heart. Also, you may come across a path that has a heart symbol. You can farm as many hearts here as 4 or more as shown in the below image.
So, these are all ways to farm hearts or restore health in Cult of the Lamb. Each heart in the game that you find restores only half a heart. You need to find 6 hearts to refill all the slots with the exception of the green heart.
