Genshin Impact’s latest 2.8 Summer Fantasia update is expected to release new skins for our resident Mondstat Investigator for the Adventurer’s Guild- Fischl and our Dawn Winer owner and nobleman Diluc. Genshin makes it a point to release new character skins each update and this time around it looks like it will be Fischl and Diluc’s turn.
About Fischl and Diluc Skins in Genshin Impact Patch 2.8
Fans have been wanting a red Diluc skin ever since character skins became a thing and Jean got her first in the Golden Apple Archipelago update. His new skin inspired by his bright red hair is crimson in color and has a more formal adventurer look to it. This is a great change of pace for one of the strongest pyro characters who’s been in his dark black outfit this entire game. Its colors even match his strongest and artwork-featured weapon- Wolf’s Gravestone.
As for Fischl, her new skin has a more formal feel to it with her indigo-purple crown matching her long flowing attire- this outfit looks fit for a formal ball. The indigo touch also roots her in Mondstat’s designs and yet doesn’t stray from her purple roots as an electro character. The new outfit emanates a gothic feel fit for someone who claims to be a Princess from another world.
How to Get the New Fischl and Diluc Skins in Genshin Impact
The new skins will be available to players once Update 2.8 drops. As is customary for Genshin’s skin releases, we’ll get the 4-star character’s skin for free while the 5-star’s skin will be made available at a discount for the duration of this update.
Fischl’s skin, for the duration of this update, will remain free and will probably be locked behind some in-game event that players will have to complete to obtain it. However, after the following update ends, her skin too will cost money to obtain- about 1680 Genesis Crystals approximately. So don’t miss out on the events in this update to get her new skin for free!
Diluc’s skin is currently likely to be the costliest skin in the game. His skin, at a discounted price, is likely to cost around 1980 Genesis Crystals for the duration of the update and will hike up to about 2480 Genesis Crystals after the update ends.
Such a high cost is expected because he’s a very popular and desired character in the game for his high damage scaling and attractive character design. Additionally, he’s a standard banner character so many players already have him and are using him in his full build for his continuing viability. As such his new skin is expected to sell high among fans and players.
