As the mods are outdated, there are two things you can do, either update the mod or remove them completely and then, download again. The steps are also different if you are hosting the servers yourself. Here is what you need to do.
Players Connecting to a Server
For players who are not the host and join other servers, here is the fix that can get the game running.
- Go to \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600
- Delete the folder named ‘108600’
- Locate and Delete the file appworkshop_108600.acf (you will find this file in the workshop folder)
- Reboot the Steam client and re-download the mods.
Players Hosting a Dedicated Server
If you are the host, there are some additional steps you need to take besides the above to fix the Workshop Item Version is Different Then Servers Error in Project Zomboid.
- Go to ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600
- Delete the folder named ‘108600’
- Locate and Delete the file appworkshop_108600.acf (you will find this file in the workshop folder)
- Download the mods again
- Once the mods have downloaded, copy the 108600 folder to Project Zomboid’s workshop content folder.
- Also copy the appworkshop_108600.acf to the Project Zomboid’s workshop folder. You will find the .acf file in the Steam workshop folder.
Once you complete the above steps the Workshop Item Version is Different Then Servers Error would be gone and you can continue with the game.
